In accordance with the California Public Schools Accountability Act, theCalifornia Department of Education has implemented standardized tests toensure compliance with curriculum guidelines and measure academicprogress in California public schools.
California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Test Results measures achievement on the California Achievement test, given each year to students in grades 2-11. These tests assess whether a school is meeting state educational goals and measures progress from year to year.
